4th of July Weekend on Anna Maria Island! Fireworks and Festivities on the Beach!

We love Independence Day here on Anna Maria Island, so we make sure to do it up right every year! There is a parade, and three different fireworks shows (put on by The Chiles Restaurant Group) and much more! Check the schedule below to make sure you don’t miss anything!
FIREWORKS ON THE ISLAND:
(Start shortly after sunset, and weather permitting)
Saturday, July 2 at Mar Vista–These can be viewed on the Bay side of the Island, North Longboat Key, Broadway St.
Sunday, July 3 at the BeachHouse– Bradenton Beach, Cortez and Gulf Dr.
Monday, July 4 at the Sandbar– Holmes Beach, Spring Ave.
Luckily, two on Bradenton and Holmes Beaches can can be seen from most places, but if you find your way to the beach with a blanket or some chairs, you’ll have a great view.
PRIVATEERS 4TH OF JULY PARADE:
Monday July 4, starts at 10 a.m. from Coquina Beach and ends at Bay front Park.
MORE FUN:
Friday July 1, Anna Maria Privateers will seize Bradenton Beach City Hall and hold Mayor
Bob Bartelt for ransom
Saturday July 2, 9:30 a.m. A Tribute to Russ Olson, (Crabby Ole Man) at the new park behind the Holmes Beach Post Office
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Turtle Watch for Kids at Coconut Resort 73rd St and the Beach
Free treats at many stores both at Pine Ave and Bridge Street on Sat. and Sun.
Sunday July 3, 7:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Open Air Mkt, 5500 Marina Dr.
Monday July 4, Live music and food and drink specials at the Anna Maria Island Beach Café, 4000 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach noon to 4 p.m. The Privateers host a scholarship awards Barbecue at the Beach Café. This year 19 students will benefit.
There will be special treats and surprises at many of the local merchants HAVE A GREAT TIME We are lucky to be living in the United States of America
